Terms of use
Last updated 1 September 2026
IdeasBoard is a personal tool in a small private beta. These terms are short because the product is simple and because most of what a long agreement would cover does not exist here — there is no billing, no sharing and no public content.
What this is
IdeasBoard is a private capture and organisation tool for one person’s own projects, ideas and reminders. You sign in with a Google account, and that account is yours alone.
It is a beta. Features will change, and some will be removed. There is no uptime commitment and no support obligation beyond good intentions.
Your content stays yours
Everything you capture belongs to you. Storing it grants no ownership and no licence to use it for anything except running the product for you: keeping it, showing it back to you, and sending the text to Anthropic’s API to be interpreted, as described in the privacy policy.
Your raw capture is never rewritten. The AI adds a reading of it alongside; it does not replace your words, and you can always see what you actually wrote.
The AI will be wrong sometimes
Titles, projects, tags, types and dates are produced by a language model and are suggestions, not facts. When it is unsure it says so and sends the capture to Needs Review rather than guessing quietly. Check anything that matters.
Do not use IdeasBoard as the only record of something you cannot afford to lose, and do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions. It is a thinking tool, not a system of record.
What we ask of you
Use your own account and do not attempt to reach anyone else’s data. Do not use IdeasBoard to store anything illegal, or to attack the service or the systems behind it. Automated capture is fine — that is what capture tokens are for — but stay within the rate limits rather than working around them.
Accounts that are used to attack the service or other accounts can be suspended without notice.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time in Settings. It takes effect immediately and deletes your content permanently, as set out in the privacy policy.
The beta itself may end. If it does, you will be told with enough notice to get your content out.
The boring part
IdeasBoard is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the people running it are not liable for lost data, lost time or any consequential loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
